　バックカントリースノーボード、シーカヤック、SUPアドベンチャー、スキューバダイビング、旅行、エキゾチックな食文化への情熱は、彼の人生を個人的にも職業的にも形づくってきました。これらの情熱に加え、イリノイ大学でのレジャー学修士号を活かし、リスクマネジメントに重点を置いたカスタム体験を提供しています。

　その内容は、参加者を引き込む指導、思いやりや優しさ、そして程よいユーモアを織り交ぜたものです。彼の活動は世界各地に広がり、ミネソタ州ノースウッズやワイオミング州ウィンドリバー山脈での自然体験グループのリーダーから、米海軍の強襲揚陸艦 USSエセックス（LHD 2）で「ファンボス」として勤務し、アジア各地の港を巡るまでに及びます。

こうした多彩な経歴は、北海道で自身のアウトドアアドベンチャー会社「アソビマスター®」を設立するに至り、現在は世界中の冒険者とその専門知識と情熱を分かち合っています。

　キャリアを通じて、ミックは常に新たな役割に挑戦し、その能力と資格を広げてきました。彼のプロフェッショナルとしての基準へのこだわりは、米海軍モラール・ウェルフェア・レクリエーション部門、ウィルダネスメディカルアソシエイツ、アメリカンカヌー協会、PADI、CAA、WEAといった団体からのトップレベルの認定やトレーニングにも表れています。アソビマスターの創設者として、彼は「#playeveryday」を掲げ、あらゆるスキルレベルの人に自然を身近で楽しいものにするという使命に取り組んでいます。

　彼のアプローチは、安全性と教育を重視しつつスリリングな体験を提供するものであり、すべてのアソビマスターr®の冒険が参加者をワクワクさせるだけでなく、学びと成長を通じて豊かな時間となることを保証しています。

 Mick’s journey from an outdoor-loving kid into a recreation professional and manager, outdoor educator, and international adventure travel guide is a testament to the fortitude and competence we gain through wilderness experiences. Passions for backcountry snowboarding, sea kayaking, SUP adventures, SCUBA diving, travel and exotic foods have shaped both his personal and professional life. These passions, combined with a master’s degree in Leisure Studies from the University of Illinois, allow him to craft custom client experiences incorporating a focus on risk management, engaging instruction, kindness and compassion, with a healthy dose of humor for good measure. His experience spans the globe, from leading wilderness groups in Minnesota’s North Woods and Wyoming’s Wind River Range to working as the “Fun Boss” for the US Navy onboard the USS ESSEX (LHD 2), exploring ports across Asia. This diverse background culminated in the founding of Asobi Master®, his outdoor adventure company in Hokkaido, Japan, where he now shares his expertise and enthusiasm with adventurers from around the world.

Throughout his career, Mick has worn many hats, constantly expanding his competencies and qualifications. His commitment to professional standards is evident through industry-leading credentials and training from organizations like the US Navy Morale, Welfare, and Recreation, Wilderness Medical Associates, American Canoe Association, PADI, Avalanche Canada, and Wilderness Education Association. As the founder of Asobi Master® (Asobi 遊 means to play in Japanese), he is dedicated to his mission of encouraging everyone to #playeveryday making the great outdoors accessible and enjoyable for anyone who is interested at any skill level.
